Craigieburn Bypass sections 3 & 4

-Metropolitan Ring Rd to the Hume Highway

Involvement in these projects spanned 5 years and saw 850,000 terrestrial, aquatic and exotic plants installed in over 550,000m2 of mulch and 30,000m2 of erosion control matting.

The direct seeding of native wallaby grass on such a large scale was a first for road landscapes. Maintaining the conservation values of the area was of prime importance in this project due to areas of rare remnant grasslands and fauna crossings over significant waterways.

Extensive wetlands, tree rows and batter plantings fill this landscape and a bicycle and pedestrian path run through the park-like landscape setting.
